The Game has occasionally shown himself to be a divisive character because he doesn’t care who he offends or when. The Game occasionally starts feuds without any justification, and his most recent opponent is none other than Eminem. Em’s used to be a favorite of The Game, but not anymore. The musician released his brand-new album, Drillmatic: Heart Vs. Mind, on Friday. It includes the Eminem slam hit “The Black Slim Shady.”
As you’ll hear, this is an extremely sinister tune with overt allusions to Eminem’s life, music, collaborators, and flows. For instance, The Game imitates Em’s flow from some of his best songs while talking about killing Dr. Dre. The Game primarily takes the stance that Eminem will never rank among the top five rappers and that he has lost influence over popular culture. At other times, the artist is incredibly insulting, as when he says, “Dear Slim, Hailie’s with me and she’s unhurt for now/(‘Dad, I’m really terrified’)” in this bar.
It’s unclear if Eminem will truly respond to this new song because he hasn’t said anything yet. The Game is attempting to ignite a conflict, that much is certain.
