Springboks wins Rugby World Cup Final

South Africa won the Rugby World Cup after beating New Zealand by one point in the final on Saturday, 28 October.

Springboks lift the Webb Ellis Trophy for a record fourth time after giving their hearts to the match that took place in Paris.

New Zealand captain Sam Cane was the first player sent off in a World Cup final as South Africa took a 12-6 lead into half-time.

New Zealand played most of the first half with 14 men thanks to a yellow card for Shannon Frizell and a red card for captain Sam Cane.

There’s jubilation in the air as the Springboks have won the quarter-final, semi-final and final all by just one point.
