Fans of Amapiano music have been eagerly awaiting a full-length release from De Mthuda & Da Muziqal Chef ever since the success of their hit tracks “Jola” and “John Wick.” The good news is that their prayers have been answered as the duo has officially confirmed that they are releasing a joint EP under the banner of “Sgudi SNYC.”
De Mthuda, a veteran producer, and a key figure in the Amapiano music scene, is credited with taking the genre to the top of the charts with his bangers “John Wick” featuring Sir Trill & Da Muziqal Chef, and “Jola” featuring Da Muziqal Chef & Sinomsolo. Originally from Vosloorus, De Mthuda began his music career in 2010, while still in high school. He eventually dropped out of school during Grade 11 to pursue music full-time. From 2013 onwards, he immersed himself in the piano sound, becoming one of the few pioneers of the genre.
De Mthuda’s musical genius is set to shine once again as he collaborates with Da Muziqal Chef on their upcoming EP, “Sgudi SNYC EP.” The project promises to be a tour de force, featuring collaborations with several talented artists, including Sinomsolo, Kabza De Small, Sam Deep, and Mkeyz, among others. The EP is slated for release in a few weeks and is expected to make waves on the charts.
