Renowned music initiative, Bridges For Music (BFM), renowned for nurturing South African talent, has made a triumphant return with their latest EP drop, ‘Mix It Up Vol.2’.

This EP serves as a harmonious convergence of exceptional musical virtuosos hailing from the UK and South Africa. A tribute to the essence of musical culture and the art of collaboration, it ushers in the ultimate summer soundscape.

Freshly unleashed, ‘Mix It Up Vol. 2’ effortlessly pairs four emerging stars from the UK – K-Trap, Kojey Radical, Lost Girl, and Niko B – with four Amapiano sensation producers – MFR Souls, Mathandos, LuuDaDeejay, and Dinho – alongside vocalist Makhanj from South Africa. The outcome? A striking blend of cultures, creating an auditory tapestry where Amapiano’s infectious beats meld with UK Drill, RnB, Hip Hop, and Rap narratives.

The EP showcases the iconic log drum cadence, uplifting piano harmonies, and the unhurried rhythm emblematic of South African music. Notable contributors include Amapiano pioneers, MFR Souls.

The creative process took place across two prestigious studios – Nando’s Flame Studios, Con Hill, and Nando’s Soho studio in London – both sponsored by Nando’s. Here, artists channeled their energy into crafting tracks inspired by cross-continental collaboration and musical cross-pollination.

This marks the second installment of Nando’s ‘Mix It Up’ venture, a project launched in 2022 (don’t miss last year’s EP with BERWYN, Bru-C, Mira May, and M1llionz, available HERE). This initiative partners with the non-profit organization Bridges For Music, based in South Africa, dedicated to empowering underserved communities through creative education and the transformative force of music.

‘Mix It Up’ radiates a spotlight on Nando’s South African heritage while providing a platform for emerging talents in the Bridges For Music network. This endeavor not only celebrates the remarkable sounds emanating from the South African and UK music realms but also propels Nando’s overarching mission to make a positive impact on lives through music’s unifying influence in the UK and SA.
