Lucki Coincidence
Lucki has returned with another earworm.
Lucki has had a busy summer. In June, the Chicago rapper released the smash song “Y NOT?” and a few days later, he released “Lil Big,” a collaboration with Nate Husser. He recently released “2k in tha Soda,” a tune on which he collaborated with Internet Money.
Lucki is now continuing his streak of new songs with “Coincidence,” a two-minute single about love and drugs. The laid-back beat complements Lucki’s subject matter, with alien synths floating in the background. Lucki’s repeats sentences again and over, almost as if he’s reciting an incantation. “I’m in the ghetto, how’s it going? / I miss you, how’s it going? / I’m glad you’re following me / I mix the love with drugs / I can’t get enough, codeine in the artery,” he mumbles again.
Perhaps Lucki’s recent flurry of new songs indicates that a larger project is in the works. Last year, the rapper’s last album, the F1lthy collaboration WAKE UP LUCKI, was published.
