Nompilo Kholeka Biography

Nompilo Kholeka is the woman of the moment thanks to her recent appointment as the public prosecutor of South Africa. She got the job despite opposition from the opposition Democratic Alliance, she seemingly linked her to amorous dalliance with her bosses and declared her unfit for the job.

But hers is a life of resilience. From when she was young, she never had it grand, being the daughter of a domestic worker to a white family, with whom she partly grew up.

She realised from a young age that if she truly had to stand, she had to put in the work. and she did. The lure of law was way too strong to resist, so she studied the course for her first degree and returned for the same course for her master’s. In the intervening years, she has held several important positions, culminating in her recent appointment

Age

Nompilo Kholeka has done a pretty good job of keeping several aspects of her life private. One such aspect is her age. Whereas her year of birth is generally given as 1982, nothing is known, for now, about the day and month she was born. With 1982 as the generally agreed year of birth, then it stands to logic that she is currently 41 or close to it (if her month of birth is December).

Net Worth

How much is Nompilo Kholeka worth? This question is of particular interest at the moment following her recent appointment as public prosecutor of South Africa. The advocate herself is indifferent to discussions about her net worth, but the public has been doing the talking, with some sources claiming she has a net worth of $2 million.

We cannot independently verify the figure, however.

House

The new public prosecutor of South Africa is doing well and could easily afford splendid cribs across the country. However, it is unclear exactly where she lives. Some sources claim she lives in Johannesburg, but there are no details about the house itself. At any rate, it must be somewhere she is cool with.

Husband

Nompilo Kholeka immersed herself in her work and in the world of law and probably never had time to snag a husband. At the time of writing, she was known to be unmarried and also without children of her own. It is unclear why she is currently unmarried and if she will get married in the future.

Qualifications

As far as degrees go, Nompilo Kholeka might fall into the league of one of the most educated. She finished at Ixopo’s Little Flower High School and then attended the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in law. Thereafter, she attended the University of Johannesburg, where she got her master’s degree (LLM) in commercial law.

Salary

There are conflicting figures on how much a public prosecutor earns in South Africa. However, we will stick to the one offered by the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) website, which gives a figure of almost R1 million (about  R988,220)

Siblings & Parents

Nompilo Lholeka might be a public figure and the centre of attention at the moment following her appointment as public prosecutor by President Cyril Ramaphosa, but not much is available about her siblings and family. She has managed to keep that aspect of her life under wraps.

However, she gave a little insight into her family during an interview where she noted she was raised in a white home where her mother served as a domestic worker. As a result, when she goes home with her parents, she has trouble speaking her language.
