Leandro Gastón Serino Rodríguez, popularly called Gastón Sirino, is a South African Uruguayan professional footballer. He is a winger for the South African Premier Division club Mamelodi Sundowns.

Gastón Sirino is a former youth academy player of Peñarol. He joined Bolivian club Bolívar in January 2017. A year after that, he joined South African club Mamelodi Sundowns. On 12 September 2020, Sirino scored the winner in the 2019–20 Nedbank Cup final against Bloemfontein Celtic. He is nicknamed AMG among the Sundowns fans in reference to Mercedes-AMG.

Transfers

Gastón Sirino has played for several clubs. From 2011 to 2012, he played for Rampla Juniors, an Uruguayan football club based in Montevideo. In 2012, he joined Unión San Felipe, a Chilean Football club whose hometown is San Felipe in the V Región of Valparaíso. The club plays in the second level of the Chilean football league, the Primera B.

He transferred to San Luis de Quillota, another Chilean football club based in Quillota that plays in the Primera B in 2016. In 2017, he joined Club Bolívar. The club currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. He joined South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns in 2018. His signing was announced alongside that of Siyabonga Zulu in January 2018.

In September 2023, it was reported that Sirino would likely part ways with Sundowns before the closing of the transfer window. He reportedly submitted a transfer request to the Sundowns management but made a U-turn on it with an apology. He was linked with a possible move to the United Arab Emirates (UAE), with Pitso Mosimane’s Al Wahda reportedly interested. However, Mosimane dismissed the reports.
