Mbongeni Theo Mbonambi, known simply as Bongi Mbonambi, is a South African rugby player and part of the country’s national rugby team known as the Springboks. He was born to parents who had a keen interest in sports, so his delving into the same field is in no way surprising.

He started his professional career at the Bulls Franchise and moved to the Stormers soon after. The year was 2015. A year after, he had his Test debut in the clash against Ireland in 2016, when he was selected to replace the then-captain Adriaan Strauss.
