Why Amapiano is Topping Hip-Hop in 2019: Recently the Amapiano genre of music has dominated the South Africa’s music scene with Hip-hop lagging behind. This has generated a lot of conversation among artistes and fans on which genre is better than the other.

Well, it can be seen that in 2019 very few hip-hop song has made it to the charts while Amapiano seems to be the dominant genre, ruling from the streets to club houses.

Stilo Magolide in an interview with TshisaLive shared his own reason on why Amapiano seems to be killing hip-hop in SA music industry. He didn’t fail to recognize that 2019 has been a tough year for hip-hop.

The Hip-hop/Rap star while speaking on the matter stated that the difference between hip-hop and people from other genres is that they always mix and feature each other on songs. Whereas, in hip-hop, rappers feature their friends. That’s why Amapiano is killing the game. He further added that in hip-hop there is no unity.
