Andile Gumbi’s death broke hearts across the country and many have poured in tributes on social media to the star.
The actor was confirmed dead on Friday after suffering a cardiac arrest last week in Israel
The family members released a statement to announce the death saying:
“On behalf of Mrs Gumbi and family, it is with profound sadness that we share the news that our beloved Andile passed away this morning. Andile received the best medical care possible.”
While Isreal, Andile was performing in a production called Daniel The Musical, with the production confirming that his wife had flown out to be at his side.
