A man who drowned in dam in Mpumalanga on Saturday has not been found.
The Emergency services made it known on Sunday that the search for the man who drowned in Rondebosch Dam is still ongoing.
The National Sea Rescue Institute together with other emergency services were alerted to Rondebosch Dam in Middelburg, Mpumalanga, on Saturday afternoon.
They were notified of the news of the man, believed to be in his 30s who disappeared under the water.
“It appears that some friends were on the dam on a boat when the man had entered the water and he appeared to get into difficulty before disappearing under water,” the NSRI said in a statement.
The institute said an extensive search on Saturday yielded no results.
“Despite an extensive search no sign of the missing man has been found and NSRI Witbank are returning to the scene on Sunday to assist police in their ongoing search operation.”
