We have often seen Hip-Hop artists get in trouble for doing not so legal stuff and showing off on Instagram. It looks like Kevin Gates is the latest one who could potentially get into legal issues because of his latest post.
On Monday (July 8), Gates visited incarcerated rapper C-Murder at the Elayn Hunt Correctional Center in St. Gabriel, Louisiana. Photos of his visit were uploaded to his and C-Murder’s account with Gates’ face covered with a stack of cash. C-Murder, born Corey Miller, is behind bars after he was convicted of second-degree murder in 2009 for a 2002 nightclub killing.
“As indicated in the photograph, it appears Mr. Gates had a large sum of cash, which is unacceptable, and a violation,” Pastorick told The Advocate. “It is against Elayn Hunt Correctional Center policy to bring case exceeding $300 into the prison, and any amount above that is considered contraband.” It’s not clear what kind of penalty Gates’ action would attract.
