“I want my awards back!” – Zahara devastated after six of her music awards got stolen
Vocalist, Zahara has opened a case after her music grants (six of them) got taken at her home in Ruimsig; Roodepoort.
The star felt truly crushed after a gatecrasher entered her home and took what she buckled down for.
The six South African Music Award prizes, which remained on a Z-molded stand in her home bar, were her unparalleled delight.
Zahara lets Drum know that whoever attacked her home and took the honors should be rebuffed, and she needs her prizes back.
“I don’t mind regardless of whether the individual leaves them at my door. I need those honors back,” she says.
The occurrence occurred while Zahara was away for the Easter weekend. The South African Music Awards representative Lesley Mofokengs says, “The SAMAs are disheartened by the break-in at Zahara’s home, and we hope everything turns out great for her and that the culprits are brought to book,” he says.
“We know how those SAMAS affected her, and we are glad to be related with a craftsman of her type. It is very disturbing that wrongdoing has arrived at this level, and individuals are taking prizes that mean such a great amount to the specialists. The prize represents her persistent effort, and we genuinely wish the prizes are returned and preparators brought to book.”
