At the BET Awards 2022 on Sunday night, Diddy received the lifetime achievement award.
The BET Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes those who have made significant contributions to the industry as well as culture.
Sean “Diddy” Combs has always been a trailblazer, overcoming obstacles, reaching incredible heights, opening up new avenues, and setting the standard higher for all artists.
In celebration of Diddy, a star-studded performance at the Microsoft Theater featured Jodeci, Mary J. Blige, Shyne, The LOX, Lil Kim, Busta Rhymes, Bryson Tiller (the new hit “Gotta Move On”), and even Kim Porter’s voice.
A pre-recorded video honoring Diddy and his influence featured a special guest appearance by Jay-Z.
Combs was honored by none other than Kanye West and Babyface, and a video montage honoring The Notorious B.I.G., Kim Porter, The Notorious Andre Harrell, Craig Mack, Heavy D, and Black Rob was shown at the conclusion of the performance.
