Nicki Minaj’s “Super Freaky Girl” has been extended.
Nicki Minaj appears to be devoted to releasing her new album this year. She’s released a flurry of new music since the beginning of 2022, including two collaborations with Lil Baby and the Fivio Foreign-assisted “We Goin Up.” She’s been building up to the release of her Rick James-sampled single, “Super Freaky Girl,” which arrives on Friday. She gave fans an extended version with a new stanza from her famous alter persona, Roman, today. “Super Freaky Girl (Roman Remix)” features Nicki’s angry double-timed verse, in which she brags about her mixtape sales and praises the YMCMB dynasty.
Nicki Minaj will be honored with the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award at the MTV Video Music Awards later this month for breaking “barriers for women in hip-hop with her variety and unique ability.”
“With her broad appeal, genre-defying flair, and continuing to be unabashedly ‘Nicki,’ she has altered the music industry and solidified her reputation as a global superstar,” said Bruce Gillmer, president of music, music talent, programming, and events at Paramount+.
