Lloyd Banks Power Steering
On a track from Lloyd Banks’ new album, Jadakiss and Lloyd Banks spout big stuff.
The sequel to The Course of the Inevitable is now available. Lloyd Banks delivers his distinctive gravelly flow over hard-hitting beats on the 14-track album, which includes some fantastic features. Conway the Machine joins Banks on “Menace.” Banks reunites with Benny The Butcher on “Living Proof.”
Jadakiss appears alongside Banks on “Power Steering.” The beat is a synchronized stop-start, providing a march-like atmosphere while the two New York rappers gloat about their accomplishments. Banks’ chorus complements the music wonderfully, as he talks about the tremendous money he’s making and the big legacy he’s leaving behind. Jadakiss also contributes significantly to the track, displaying some lyrical acrobatics and changes of phrase before concluding his verse with a summation of the single’s message: “I’m a big stepper, you a youthful dancer / Smoke with me’s just gon’ lead to lung cancer.” It’s best not to mess with the veterans, according to Banks and Jada.
